Mikolaj’s side defeated BSC Kievmiskbud with five goals in the final while Euroformat take women’s crown
Last week saw a new side crowned kings of beach soccer in Ukraine, as BSC Alternativa dethroned the reigning champions BSC Euroformat.
The 2018 winners did not qualify for the final round of the league this year, despite having knocked out the Russian beach soccer giants, BSC Kristall, in the Euro Winners Cup.
The final was fought between Kostenko Mikolaj’s Alternativa and BSC Kievmiskbud, which was injected with some Spanish firepower in the form of Edu Suarez, scorer of the best goal of 2018.
Alternativa claimed the title after the final finished Alternativa 5-3 KMB, while VIT Voitok took up third place.
The award for the Best Goalkeeper went to Taras of KMB, Oleh Zborovskij of Alternativa went home with the MVP award, while Edu Suarez (KMB) claimed to Top Scorer prize.
Euroformat did, however, taste victory in the women’s competition, as they beat Mriya -2006 on penalties to lift the trophy in Odessa.
In the women’s competition, Euroformat captain Anna Sydorenko was recognized as the MVP while teammate Kislova Victoria claimed Best Goalkeeper.
