The spectacle every Beach Soccer supporter expected for this Boxing Day let nobody down. Brazil and the BSWW Team, shaped with some of the best players in the world, brought a magic morning in Guarujá, turning a wonderful game into the best Christmas present for all the sport fans. Unfortunately for the World Team, Brazil kept being Brazil and settled unbeatable again. Christmas time was no excuse for the verdeamarela. Indeed, nothing is any excuse when the jump onto the sand, and with a new power display, Soares’ lads gave little option to their rivals in this last International Challenge.
Things began in the best mood for the World Team, since in the very first minute, Madjer slotted a penalty kick in after receiving a foul by Daniel. Brazil tried to react as soon as possible, but it was not until the tenth minute of the game that Anderson hit a wonderful volley for the equalizer. After the first break, the BSWW team shifted to a more aggressive play, with Amarelle forcing Mão to a great save. That was the prelude, though, to the second goal by the Brazilian. Betinho received a great pass by Anderson and beat Bukhlitskiy in his coming off for the 2-1. Soares’ lads would not lose the game command until the final horn, confirming their sixth victory in a row in this International Challenge.
Benjamin and Bruno, with two doubles, made the score almost out of reach for the Worldwide team, with the 6-1 up. The sun was shining over the Praia de Enseada by that time, but that would not help the BSWW team any further than the 6-2. It was the Russian goalkeeper Bukhlistkiy the one to shorten the distance from his own box, right after saving a penalty kick by Anderson. But their reply went no deeper, and Brazil closed in the best manner another wonderful year, in which they have again confirmed their first place in the rank.
