In time for final tests ahead the Qualifier, the Verdeamarela bent the Guaraní (0-4) in a friendly match played in Asuncion
The Paraguay National Beach Soccer team wanted to be put to the most demanding test in their preparation for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? CONMEBOL Qualifiers taking place in just one week.
And they were, indeed, as they took on Brazil in the Copa Costanera del Bicentenario, a friendly exhibition one-match tournament held at the Paraguay River sands, in Asunción.
Brazil, in turn were also undergoing some tests, as Junior Negão decided to field a team full of newcomers and non-habitual players. The experiment worked quite well, though.
Despite not boasting his usual stars such as Benjamín, André, Bruno Malias, Bruno Xavier or Buru, the Tetracampeão let the hosts no chance at all. Catarino and Luçao, in the first period, Rafinha in the second and Boquinha in the third built up an uncontestable 0-4.
Both teams will now face in new challenges ahead the CONMEBOL decider in Merlo. Next one is the third edition of the Copa Asunción, to take place this same weekend in the Paraguayan capital.
