The Brazilian National Team beat archrivals Argentina (2-0) in the friendly game they played to commemorate the inauguration of the CBBS new Beach Soccer Training Facilities in Rio de Janeiro. The albiceleste, though, made things really difficult for the World Champions, confirming they are tough team. It was not until the second period that Brazil managed to open the score, thanks to a successful attempt by Betinho.
As expected, the Brazilians were always in command, controlling the ball and trying to find Mendoza’s nets. But their toughest American rivals proved again to be firm defenders and did not let another chance in during the second period. Even though, Sidney managed the second and last goal for the verdeamarela in the last 12 minutes. A pressing move enabled him a quick ball robbery, and let him finish such a leveled game with the second hit for his side.
The inauguration party of the new Training Centre of the Confederaçao Brasileira de Beach Soccer, then, was complete. It was plenty to celebrate, since apart from this 44th Brazilian victory over Argentina in their 45 clashes, “now we have a place we can call home. We have achieved many triumphs and records, but this is the greatest achievement of the Brazilian Beach Soccer”, as Júnior Negao, CBBS National Teams Coordinator, claimed. These excellent facilities at the CEFAN (Centro de Educação Física Almirante Adalberto Nunes), will make the verdeamarela outfit even more fearful, since they warrant the best training conditions, as well as they point the way to go for all teams all over the world.
