Sony holds ?Beach Soccer Charity Match Brazil vs Japan? to help areas devastated by tsunami. Brazilian football legends to play
Beach Soccer will join forces with Sony and Save the Children for a wonderful cause. Next July 30th, Sony Corporation will hold the Beach Soccer Charity Match Brazil versus Japan, together with Save the Children, in order to raise aid funds for children in the areas affected by the earthquake and Tsunami hitting Eastern Japan last March.
“Beach Soccer Charity Match Brazil versus Japan” will feature a friendly match between the national teams of Japan and Brazil, together with an exhibition game featuring football legends such as Cafu, Zico, Ronaldao, Paulo Rink, Alcindo or Washington, amongst others. The initiative will take place at the Beach Stadium in Copacabana Beach, just one day before the kick off of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 – CONMEBOL Qualifier happening there from July 31st to August 7th.
Besides, Save the Children will bring five children from the devastated areas to attend this amusing event as special guests, and other 140 disadvantaged boys and girls from Rio de Janeiro will be invited to enjoy the game and meet the stars afterwards, having the chance to play Beach Soccer with them.
