Adriele, Andrea Mirón and Colodetti named as nominees for the Best Women’s Player
The final three in the race for the Best Women’s Player have been announced! Two have been nominated previously, but who will replace the 2021 Best Women’s Player, Molly Clark…?
The three nominees are:
– Adriele Rocha (Brazil)
– Andrea Mirón (Spain)
– Bárbara Colodetti (Brazil)
The 2022 edition of the Beach Soccer Stars sees Brazilian Adriele Rocha nominated for the Best Women’s Player for the fourth consecutive year. However, she has never won the award. This season Adriele won the World Winners Cup with Polish club Lady Grembach and took home the MVP award of the event. Will 2022 finally be her year?
Andrea Mirón is also no stranger to a Best Women’s Player nomination, having been named among the top three in last year’s edition of the Beach Soccer Stars alongside Adriele, but both were beaten to the title by England’s Molly Clark. This season saw another strong performance by the defender, as Andrea captained Spain through title-winning campaigns in the 2022 Mundialito and the Euro Beach Soccer League.
The third nominee is Bárbara Colodetti, who is the third Brazilian to reach the final three, but could be the first to ever win the Best Women’s Player, alongside Lady Grembach teammate Adriele. The Brazil captain impressed in the 2022 season, winning the World Winners Cup as well as the treble in Spanish league.
The nominees are voted for by the captains and coaches of the national teams.
