What is the competition format of the Women’s Americas Winners Cup El Salvador 2025?

Eighteen teams will be divided into six groups of three, with each side facing the others once in a round-robin format.
At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group, together with the four best third-placed sides, will progress to the Round of 16. The draw for the full knockout stage will be held following the conclusion of the group stage.
From there, it’s straight knockout tournament: the winners of the Round of 16 will advance to the quarter-finals, the quarter-final winners will move on to the semi-finals, and the semi-final winners will battle it out in the final — where the Americas Winners Cup El Salvador 2025 champion will be crowned.

How will the group stage draw work?

The top seeds for the Americas Winners Cup El Salvador 2025 have been allocated to the respective groups, determined according to the following criteria:

The draw will begin with the teams in Pot 1, which will be drawn and placed into Groups A to F in order as they are selected, followed by the teams in Pot 2, which will also be allocated to the groups in order as they are drawn. The draw will obey the rule that no two teams from the same country can be placed in the same group.

If a team is drawn into a group that already contains a club from the same country, it will be moved to the next available group. The following team drawn will then occupy the previous empty slot that was not taken by the club drawn before.

Teams were assigned to the pots according to the BSWW Overall Clubs Ranking, and in cases where a club has no points or ranking, the BSWW National Teams Ranking of their country was used:

These teams will be drawn and placed into Groups A to E in order as they are selected.

After Pot 1, the draw will continue with Pot 2, which contains the remaining ranked teams and clubs participating in a BSWW event for the first time:

Teams will be drawn in the following order:
first, the third positions in Groups A to E in order, followed by the fourth positions in Groups A to E, as each team is drawn.
