Spain and Portugal set for a title showdown, as Italy and Czechia battle for third place
Semi-final day at the U20 Euro Beach Soccer Cup 2026 in Viareggio saw Spain and Portugal book their places in the final with convincing victories over Czechia and Italy, respectively. Earlier, England staged a dramatic comeback to edge Belgium in the first leg of the 5th/6th playoff, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.

England win 7-6 against Belgium
England made a bright start as Biggs opened the scoring early in the first period, but Belgium responded quickly through Boon before Bette gave them a 2–1 lead heading into the first break.

Belgium extended their advantage in the second period with early goals from Khatrani and Putzu to make it 4–1. Brihmani pulled one back for England, but they still trailed by two goals going into the final period.
The third period delivered late drama as Gonçalves added another for Belgium, only for England to mount a remarkable comeback. Brihmani struck again, while House and a brace from Biggs, alongside Brihmani’s third, completed a stunning turnaround to secure a 7–6 victory and take the first leg of the 5th/6th playoff.
Spain win 9-2 against Czechia
Spain took firm control in the opening period of the first semi-final, with Aitor Mato scoring twice and Pedro adding another to give his side a commanding 3–0 lead.

The Spanish dominance continued in the second period as Maadi, Luisito, and Ramy all found the net to extend the lead to 7–0, before Bureš pulled one back late for Czechia to make it 7–1 heading into the final period.
In the third period, Aitor Mato struck twice more to complete a superb performance, while Tuháček grabbed a late consolation for Czechia. Spain secured a convincing 9–2 victory to book their place in the final.
Portugal win 3-0 against Italy
The second semi-final saw Portugal take early control, as goals from Robalo and G. Loureiro handed them a 2–0 lead in the opening period against the hosts.

Portugal extended their advantage in the second period through Dinis, making it 3–0, while Italy struggled to find a breakthrough despite their efforts.
No goals were recorded in the final period as Portugal remained solid defensively, fending off Italy’s attacks to secure a 3–0 victory and book their place in the final.
