President?s Cup winner finds victory again after las week defeat, the same as Fujairah Club and Ittihad Kalba
Al Nasr, Fujairah Club and Ajman Club all returned to winning ways at the end of the second week of the 2013 UAE Beach Soccer League held at the Al Mamzar Beach Park on Friday and Saturday.
Whereas Al Nasr fought for a 3-2 win over neighbours Al Wasl, Fujairah Club managed a hard-fought 5-4 win over Ittihad Kalba and Ajman Club got an also tight 4-3 result over Al Shabab in the second week action of the annual league.
In turn, Al Ahli remained at the top of the standings after they were awarded full points following the non-show from Dibba Al Hisn for their second round match on Saturday.
Despite falling in the first weekend of the league to current champions, Ajman Club was one of the teams causing a better impression in this second leg of the eight-team competition. It was their rising star Hassan Ali who was in fine touch scoring a well-deserved hat-trick while Adham Hassan scored one. For Al Shabab, Khalid Abdul Rahman and Essa Abbas got a brace each.
Al Nasr was the other team who found the way back to the winning mood, with a 3-2 win over neighbours Al Wasl. Farooq Ali scored two and Ali Karim added one for the winners, while Haider Abbas scored both the goals for Al Wasl.
Ahmed Salem was the protagonist of the the second hat-trick of the weekend, when bagging three goals that combined with Issa Ibrahim?s double got Fujairah Club edgiong Ittihad Kalba 5-4. Ibrahim Ismail, Haitham Mohammed, Yousuf Mohammed and Mohammed Muftah all got one each for Kalba.
The third round will be held next weekend. After that, the league will take a break of nearly one and a half month to allow the UAE national squad to get ready for the Asian qualifiers for the 2013 Tahiti Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup to be played in Doha next month.
The 2013 UAE Beach Soccer League is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
