Both sides stand as favourites in semifinals of UAE President?s Cup, with Al Shabab and Fujairah willing to cause upset
League Champions Al Ahli and Al Nasr stand as the top favourites to clinch the Beach Soccer President’s Cup, whose final stage is to happen these Friday and Saturday (21st and 22nd) in Dubai. Both sides, though, will have a consistent obstacle to skip before facing in an eventual final. While league champions Al Ahli will take on Al Shabab in the first semi-final, Al Nasr will have to contend with surprise qualifier Fujairah Club who stunned last year’s league runners-up Ajman Club last week.
Needless to say, both teams bank on very powerful arguments to see themselves struggling for the Cup. League title holders Al Ahli will field the amusing powder of his star Brazilian Mauricinho, scorer of a double-hat trick as the one to fear most by Al Shabab, and, instead Al Nasr will back on the experience of some of the UAE National side players, striker Ali Karim ahead, to bend the surprising Fujairah, whose target man Moussa Ibrahim got them pushing on with six goals in their game against Ajman.
Now, with only four fighters in the arena, only the fittest will survive to claim this maiden edition of the UAE Beach Soccer President Cup.
