Italy, Denmark, Spain and Switzerland secure semifinal places
The men’s group stage has reached its conclusion, with Italy, Denmark, Spain and Switzerland now turning their attention to the decisive knockout stage, with a place in the final at stake.

Group B
Moldova win 5-4 against Germany, in extra time
The opening period was goalless until the final minute, when Vasilets put Germany ahead. Creciun responded immediately for Moldova to level the score at 1-1 before the break.
Sirghi gave Moldova the lead early in the second period, but Creciun struck again midway through to make it 2-2. With two minutes remaining, Baaske found the net to put Germany back in front at 3-2.
Peterson and Schulte extended Germany’s advantage to 4-2 in the third period, but Moldova fought back. Stavila pulled one back before Moldova levelled to force extra time, where they scored the decisive goal to secure a dramatic 5-4 victory.
Italy win 7-2 against Denmark
Giordani opened the scoring early in the first period, but Denmark quickly responded to level the game at 1-1 midway through the opening frame.
Italy took control in the second period, with Giordani completing his hat-trick to give the hosts a 4-1 lead heading into the final break.
Giordani added two more goals in the third period, while Genovali also found the net for Italy. Frandsen scored a consolation goal for Denmark, but the hosts secured a convincing 7-2 victory.
Group B
Switzerland win 7-6 against Belarus
Belarus took a 3-1 lead in the opening period, with Ryabko and Hardzetsky’s double putting them in control. Hodel was on target for Switzerland, who trailed by two goals at the first break.
Borer scored twice in the second period to bring Switzerland back into contention, but Ryabko completed his brace to restore Belarus’s advantage at 4-3.
Belarus extended their lead through Avgustov and Drozd in the third period, but Switzerland mounted a late comeback. Steinemann, Borer, Hodel and Knöpfli all found the net to secure a thrilling 7-6 victory.
Spain win 6-4 against Portugal
Portugal took the lead midway through the opening period through Tim’s brilliant finish, but Remy quickly levelled for Spain. Leo Martins restored Portugal’s advantage before Suli Batis equalised again to make it 2-2 at the first break.
Ramy put Spain ahead early in the second period, but Algarve struck just before the break to bring Portugal level at 3-3.
Spain took complete control in the third period, with Gatica, Brian and Jose Oliver all finding the net. Bê Martin pulled one back for Portugal, but Spain held on to secure a 6-4 victory.
