Georgia completes the final four
The final matches of the group stage saw the race for the last semi-final spot come to a head, as all attention turned to the clash between Georgia and Malta. Georgia’s hard-fought victory secured the final knockout berth, completing the semi-final lineup.

Group A
Georgia win 2-1 against Malta
The match between Georgia and Malta began as a tactical stalemate, with both teams maintaining disciplined defensive shapes throughout a goalless first period.

Georgia broke the deadlock in the second period as Kurdadze found the net to put them in front. Just before the end of the period, Lomidze extended Georgia’s lead to 2-0, putting them in a strong position heading into the final period.
Malta continued to fight in the third period and managed to pull one back through a goal from Bray. However, Georgia’s defense withstood the late pressure to protect their advantage and secure a 2-1 victory.
Group B
Slovakia win 4-3 against England, at extra time
England opened the scoring early in the first period through Hulme, but Slovakia responded with clinical strikes from Turoň and Šmálik to hold a 2-1 lead by the end of the opening period.

The second period remained tightly contested, with England conceding an own goal, but Robinson found the net to keep the scoreline 3-2 in favour of Slovakia at the end of second period. The drama continued into the third period as Friery struck for England, forcing the match into extra time with the sides level at 3-3.
In the decisive extra time, Hrnčiar struck to break the deadlock and secure a dramatic 4-3 victory for Slovakia.
Latvia win 3-2 against Azerbaijan
Latvia gained the upper hand in the first period, breaking the deadlock with a clinical strike from Grīslis to take a narrow 1-0 advantage into the first break.

The intensity increased in the second period as both teams found their rhythm in front of goal. Orkhan levelled for Azerbaijan, but Ģēgers extended Latvia’s lead to keep the scoreline at 2-1 heading into the final period.
In the third frame, Sakne pushed Latvia further ahead, giving his team a vital cushion. Despite a late effort from Orkhan to secure his brace for Azerbaijan, Latvia’s defense held firm to close out a hard-fought 3-2 victory.
