Barra de Santiago and Sportivo Luqueño dominate on the opening day

Fuego FC, Municipal Poás, Yunis Limón, Apulo Ilopango and Honduras BSA also secured victories

GROUP A
Fuego FC win 3-1 against USAC FP
Fuego FC claimed a 3-1 victory over USAC FP in a closely contested Group A match. Both teams struggled to break the deadlock in the first period, with no goals recorded as they exchanged possession without finding the net.

The game came to life in the second period when Fuego FC’s Ordaz struck with just two minutes left to take a 1-0 lead into the break. The momentum shifted early in the third period as Rebelo equalised for USAC FP, bringing the game level at 1-1.

However, Fuego FC responded with clinical finishing, as goals from Drago and Osorio secured the 3-1 win for the Brazilian side, earning them a valuable three points in their group opener.

Barra de Santiago FP win 19-2 against Nopaleros FC
Barra de Santiago FP dominated Nopaleros FC with an emphatic 19-2 victory in Group A. The match started with an early flourish as Barra de Santiago took a commanding 4-0 lead in the first period, thanks to goals from Edgar, Andersson, and a brace from Oba. Nopaleros FC struggled to respond to the pressure.

The second period saw a relentless attack from Barra de Santiago, who added eight more goals to their tally. Oba netted his second, while Edward found the back of the net four times, and Andersson, Jairo, and Victor all added to the scoreline. Nopaleros FC managed to pull two goals back through Gabriel and Mis, but trailed heavily at 2-11 going into the final period.

In the third period, Barra de Santiago showed no signs of letting up, adding more goals to seal their 19-2 victory. Oba, Andersson, and Edward each scored twice more, securing a dominant win for the Central American side.

Group B
Samara ADG FP win 3-0 on penalties against Isla San Sebastian, after a 1-1 draw
Isla San Sebastian and Samara ADG FP played out an intense match that ended in a penalty shootout, with Samara ADG FP emerging victorious 3-0. Isla San Sebastian took the early lead in the second minute through Martinez’s goal.

Samara ADG FP could not find the net in the opening period, but mounted a comeback in the second, with Carballo’s last-minute goal bringing the score level at 1-1. The third period remained tightly contested, and despite both teams having chances, no further goals were scored, forcing extra time. 

The deadlock persisted in extra time, and Samara ADG FP held their nerve in the penalty shootout, converting all three kicks to secure one point from the match.

Sportivo Luqueño win 19-1 against Bahía FP
Sportivo Luqueño delivered an absolute masterclass in Group B, trouncing Bahía FP 19-1. The game started with a dominant performance from Sportivo Luqueño, who netted seven goals in the first period. Pedro Mano got the ball rolling early, and Mauricinho, Luraschi, Rodrigo, and Medina all added to the tally to end the period 7-0.

Bahía FP struggled to find their rhythm, with Sportivo Luqueño adding three more goals in the second period to extend their lead to 10-0. Heading into the final period, Bahía FP were yet to respond. 

Gonzalez scored a solitary goal for Bahía FP in the third period, but it was nothing more than a consolation as Sportivo Luqueño continued their rampage, with goals from Mauricinho, Rodrigo, Pedro Mano, Barrios, and Catarino to seal the emphatic 19-1 victory.

Group C
Municipal Poás win 6-3 against FP Riviera Maya
Municipal Poás opened Group C with a strong 6–3 victory over FP Riviera Maya, striking early through Jhonatan in the opening minute before Erlindo doubled the advantage. Garcia pulled one back for Riviera Maya, but Jonathan’s goal restored the two-goal cushion heading into the first break.

Riviera Maya came out firing in the second period, with Aleman scoring immediately and later adding a second to level the game at 3–3. Municipal Poás, however, responded decisively. Johnny put them back in front, and Erlindo’s second of the match extended their lead to 5–3 just before the period closed.

In the final period, Municipal Poás remained in control, and Jonathan struck again to seal the 6–3 win, completing a composed and clinical team performance.

Cruzn win 8-2 against Arcos FC
Cruzn produced a dominant display to claim an 8–2 victory over Arcos FC. Navas set the tone early with a brace, and Valcarcel added a third to close out a confident first period. 

The momentum continued after the restart, with Fire extending the lead to 4–0 before Rodriguez pulled one back for Arcos. Cruzn quickly reasserted themselves as Navas completed his hat-trick and Cruz found the net for a commanding 6–1 advantage.

The third period saw Arcos push forward in search of a comeback, and Merina managed to reduce the deficit. But Cruzn finished the match with authority, as Akol scored twice late on to secure the emphatic 8–2 result and a strong start to their campaign.

Group D
Yunis Limón win 3–2 against Rancho Viejo FP
Yunis Limón opened their Group D campaign with a narrow but deserved 3–2 victory over Rancho Viejo FP. Jose broke the deadlock midway through the first period, and Maitland doubled the advantage late on to give Yunis Limón a solid 2–0 lead at the break.

The second period brought pressure from Rancho Viejo FP, but Yunis Limón held firm defensively, keeping their two-goal cushion intact heading into the final period.

Rancho Viejo pulled one back through Emerson early in the third period, but Edson responded swiftly to restore Yunis Limón’s two-goal advantage. Recino struck in the final minute to make it 3–2, but Yunis Limón held on to secure all three points.

CD Apulo Ilopango win 7-5 against Cruzn Academy
CD Apulo Ilopango claimed a thrilling 7–5 win over Cruzn Academy in a match that swung repeatedly between the two sides. Van Der Meer opened the scoring for Cruzn Academy, but Rigoberto equalised late in the first period to send the teams level into the second.

CD Apulo Ilopango took control after the restart, striking through Anderson and Jerry to establish a 3–1 advantage. Christopher’s goal kept Cruzn Academy in touch, and Ruck levelled early in the final period to make it 3–3.

The final minutes exploded with drama. Edgardo restored Ilopango’s lead before Saul and Christopher turned the game around for Cruzn Academy, who briefly led 5–4. But the response from Ilopango was emphatic—three late goals from Edwin, Rafael, and Jerry completed a decisive comeback and sealed a 7–5 victory.

Group E
Garita Palmera BS win 6–5 against CD Milenio
Garita Palmera BS edged a dramatic 6–5 contest against CD Milenio to open their Group E campaign with three points. Arana struck midway through the first period to give Garita Palmera BS the early advantage.

Milenio responded strongly in the second period, with goals from R. Garcia and X. Garcia turning the game around before Ruiz levelled at 2–2. The momentum swung again when E. Garcia restored Milenio’s lead in the final moments of the period, only for Rizo to strike seconds before the whistle, sending the match into the final frame tied at 3–3.

The third period delivered end-to-end action. Rizo fired Garita Palmera back in front, but E. Garcia equalised before Excobar put Milenio ahead. A late surge from Garita Palmera proved decisive—Rizo completed his brace, and Gabriel added another in the closing stages to secure a thrilling 6–5 victory.

Honduras BSA win 5–3 against SoCal Legacy BSC
Honduras BSA claimed a well-earned 5–3 win over SoCal Legacy BSC in a physically demanding Group E encounter. Laureano opened the scoring five minutes into the first period, but late goals from Mateo and Silveira turned the match in SoCal’s favour before Laureano struck again to make it 2–2 at the first break.

The second period belonged to Honduras BSA, with Filipov netting twice to give his side a 4–2 advantage going into the final period. SoCal struggled to find a breakthrough as Honduras maintained defensive discipline.

Silveira pulled one back early in the third period to put SoCal within touching distance, but Laureano completed his hat-trick with a composed finish to seal a 5–3 victory for Honduras BSA.
