Division B Semi-Finals Ready to Go in Viareggio

With the group stage now complete, the Division B semifinals at the Euro Beach Soccer League Viareggio 2025 are set. Lithuania, topping Group A with maximum points, will meet Kazakhstan, while Group B winners Romania, with five points, are set to take on Azerbaijan in two decisive battles for a spot in Sunday’s final.

Group A
Lithuania win 2-1 against Azerbaijan
Lithuania broke the deadlock midway through the first period as Novicov found the net, giving his side a 1–0 lead that they carried into the break.

The second period saw end-to-end action, but neither team managed to convert their chances, leaving Lithuania narrowly ahead going into the final period.

Giedraitis doubled the advantage early in the third, and although Kamram pulled one back for Azerbaijan late on, it proved too little too late as Lithuania held on for a 2–1 victory.

Romania win 4-3 against Kazakhstan at extra-time
Romania started strongly in the semifinal clash, with Toma opening the scoring early before Bolat doubled the lead late in the first period, giving the side a 2–0 advantage.

Kazakhstan hit back in the second period with three quick goals from Minbayev, Shevchuck, and Kaizer. Toma’s second of the game kept Romania level, sending the contest into the final period at 3–3.

Neither side could break the deadlock in the third period, forcing extra time. With just seconds remaining, Toma struck again to complete his hat-trick and seal a dramatic 4–3 win for Romania, earning them two vital points.
