France, Ukraine, and host Spain claimed victories on Day 3 in Andalucía

Lithuania and Azerbaijan top the Division B table, as Spain and Poland head to the women’s final.

DIVISION – A

Group A
Ukraine win 5–1 against Georgia.
Ukraine continued their impressive form with a commanding 5–1 victory over Georgia in their second Group B match. The first period was closely contested, with both sides showing solid defensive structure. However, Ukraine broke the deadlock in the final moments through Glutskyi, who capitalised on a defensive lapse to slot home and give his side a 1–0 lead.

In the second period, Ukraine turned up the heat. Zborovskyi doubled the lead with a precise finish, and Samoilenko added a third with a composed strike, giving Ukraine a comfortable 3-0 advantage heading into the final period.

Zborovskyi increased Ukraine’s tally to four goals midway through the third period. Georgia pulled one back in the dying moments through Kokoladze, but Ukraine responded instantly, as Voitok executed a stunning acrobatic finish to seal the 5–1 win. With this result, Ukraine secured their second victory in two matches, maintaining momentum in Group B.

 

Spain win 4–1 against Germany.

The final match of the day featured hosts Spain taking on Germany in front of an energetic home crowd. The first period ended goalless, despite several attacking attempts from both sides, as solid defending and missed chances kept the scoreboard blank.

The second period intensified as both teams pushed for a breakthrough. Germany took the lead midway through the period when Peterson executed a perfectly timed acrobatic finish from a corner pass. However, in the final two minutes, Spain responded swiftly with a counterattack, with Chiky Ardil calmly finishing to level the match at 1–1.

Spain carried their momentum into the third period, taking the lead for the first time through Suli Battis, who capitalised on a loose ball in front of goal. Kuman extended the advantage shortly after, and Galindo sealed the 4–1 victory with a clinical finish, completing a strong comeback performance for the hosts.

 

Group B
Poland win 6-1 against Türkiye.
The match between Poland and Türkiye started slowly, with both teams struggling to convert their early chances. Jesionowski broke the deadlock for Poland with the only goal of the first period.

The second period saw Türkiye respond through Efe, who levelled the score 1–1 four minutes in. However, Poland quickly regained control as goalkeeper Mańka fired a low, long-range strike that bounced past Türkiye’s keeper to restore the lead. Brochocki added another from the penalty spot in the final minutes of the period, giving Poland a 3–1 advantage heading into the third.

Poland continued their dominance in the final period. Brochocki and Jesionowski both completed their braces, and Poźniak added a late goal to round off a convincing 6–1 victory for Poland.

 

France win 4-3 against Portugal.

The opening came in the first minute of play courtesy of Basquaise for France to a 1-0 lead. A brilliant pass from Portugal’s goalkeeper Pedro Mano to Bernardo with a header levelled the score to 1-1. And another assist from Pedro Mano to Brilhante with a backheel put Portugal ahead by 2-1 going into the second period.

In the second period, Constant’s late strike straight into the left corner of the net to equalise 2-2. And the deadlock dragged to the final period.

Straight from the game restart in the final period, France took a 3-2 lead from Angeletti’s centre-line strike and held on to their lead to a slim victory over France.

 

DIVISION – B

Azerbaijan win 11–2 against Belgium.
The match between Azerbaijan and Belgium in Division B saw Azerbaijan deliver a commanding performance against Belgium. Azerbaijan got off to a flying start as Ramil opened the scoring with a superb acrobatic kick just two minutes into play. Belgium’s captain, Ennya, responded almost immediately to bring the score level to 1–1. But Azerbaijan restored their lead as Ramil struck again with another bicycle kick, this time from a goalkeeper’s throw. Jomard added a third with a composed finish to a 3-1 in the first period.

Two minutes into the second period, Ramil completed his hat trick with a decisive spot-kick down the middle. Jomard grabbed his brace, while Elshad, Kamil, and Orkhan also found the net, extending Azerbaijan’s lead to a commanding 9–1 by the end of the period. Amid capped off the second period with a classy finish to make it nine for Azerbaijan.

The third period saw Sahib add his name to the scoresheet with an acrobatic strike just a minute after the restart. Belgium pulled one back through Cardon, but Bayram sealed the victory with Azerbaijan’s eleventh goal, marking a dominant display and their second consecutive win in the group.

 

Lithuania win 4-2 against England.
In the second Division B clash of the day, Lithuania continued their fine form with a 4–2 victory over England, securing their second win of the tournament. Giedraitis broke the deadlock for Lithuania with a powerful free kick from midfield just two minutes before the end of the first period. Moments later, captain Novičkov added a second with a superb left-footed finish, giving Lithuania a 2–0 lead heading into the break.

Novičkov doubled his tally two minutes into the second period to extend the lead to 3–0. England responded through a stunning long-range strike from goalkeeper Friery, bringing some momentum back to the Three Lions. But Lithuania answered almost immediately, as Lebedevas calmly converted a spot-kick to restore their three-goal cushion. Lawson gave England a lifeline in the final minute of the period, making it 4–2.

The third period saw no change to the scoreline, as Lithuania held firm defensively to secure the win. With this result, Lithuania climbed to the top of the Division B table with nine points from three matches.

 

Women

Group A
Spain win 2-1 against England.
The women’s match between hosts Spain and England began as a balanced and closely contested encounter, with both sides displaying strong defensive discipline. Carol broke the deadlock late in the first period to give Spain a narrow 1–0 lead. Spain maintained a slim advantage to end the period.

In the second period, England responded as Elouath found the equaliser midway through to make it 1–1, setting up a tense final period. Both sides pushed forward with intensity in attack and defence, but the deadlock held.

In the final period, the decisive moment came when Andrea Mirón delivered a stunning acrobatic finish to restore Spain’s lead. Despite England’s late efforts, Spain held firm to secure the 2–1 win.

Group B
Poland win 5-1 against Czechia.
The women’s match between Poland and Czechia got underway with a dominant first period from the Polish side. Szpera, Sudyk, and Tobiczyk all found the net to give Poland a commanding 3–0 lead.

Poland maintained control in the second period, continuing their scoring form through Suszkiewicz and Gozdek, extending their advantage to 5–0 while keeping a clean sheet.

Czechia showed brief signs of resurgence in the final period, earning a consolation goal two minutes before full-time through Matejkova. But the outcome was already sealed, as Poland claimed a comfortable 5–1 victory, their second win in two games..
