La Roja have secured the first place by defeating Costa Rica in a hard-fought clash
The high level of beach soccer continued in the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup 2024, with Matchday 2 offering another two great demonstrations on the sand.
World Ranking leaders Spain took on the newcomers Costa Rica, and had to sweat their shirt to take all three points. Andrea Mirón threatened a couple of times before finally finding the back of the net to break the deadlock in the second period. Las Ticas went into the third period with a fighting chance but a moment of individual brilliance by Sara Tui made it 2-0, a result that secures Spain the top place of the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup.
In the match between hosts Mexico and USA, Sunseri Warp opened the score for Morgan Church’s team eight minutes into the game, while Adler extended the lead in the second period. Sunseri Warp would score her second before Chronopoulos sealed the 4-0 win.
