The first group stage came to a conclusion, as the round of 16 draw took place in Cádiz…

Group B
Denmark win 10-3 against Czechia.
Denmark dominated Czechia in thrilling Group B encounter. Though the Czechs struck first through Slegr, Denmark swiftly responded with four goals to put them in control in the first period.

In the second period, both teams added a goal each, keeping the score 5-2 in Denmark’s favour. The momentum continued in the third period, as Damm secured his fourth and Dorph also scored his second for Denmark.

Czechia’s Radosta scored a consolation goal in the final minute, but Denmark’s 10-goal tally was no match, as they secured a convincing 10-3 victory.

Group D
Moldova win 5-2 against Belgium.
First period saw a goal each for both teams, first by Belgium’s Deportbecker and soon followed by Ignat for Moldova, just minutes apart, ending the period 1-1.

After picking up two yellow cards and a red in the first period, Moldova recorded another yellow and a red in the second period, which remained goalless for both sides.

The final period saw even more disciplinary issues, with one yellow card for Moldova and three for Belgium. Despite this, Moldova pulled through with goals from Turta and Florea’s hat-trick, securing a 5-2 victory to grab their first win in two games. Belgium’s late goal from Hanon was insufficient to prevent defeat.

Group E
Lithuania win 5-0 against Malta.

Lithuania cruised to a convincing victory over Malta in their third Group E match. They took control early, scoring two goals in the first period through Plytnikas’ brace.

The Lithuanians extended their lead in the second period, courtesy of Novićkov’s strike. Malta struggled to find their footing, earning two yellow cards but failed to find the back of the net.

In the third period, Lithuania sealed the win with additional two goals from Borščevskis and Lebedevas to a 5-0 scoreline, which reflected their dominance, as they restricted Malta to a goalless performance. The Lithuanians finally got their fist win in three games.

Switzerland win 9-5 against France.
Laassami opened the scoring for France early in the first period, but this was cut short soon by Switzerland’s quick response with Borer’s goal and Stankovic’s brace that gave them a 3-1 lead into the second period.

Switzerland continued their attack in the second period, scoring three more goals courtesy of Eliot and Hodel’s brace, extending their advantage to 6-1.

In the third period, France staged a resurgence with four goals, led by braces from Laassami and Basquaise. However, the Swiss were not sleeping either, they secured their victory with Borer’s second goal and completed hat-tricks from Stankovic and Hodel, sealing their 9-5 win and claiming the top spot in the table ahead of France.

Group F
Ukraine win 6-2 against Norway.

Ukraine’s Glutskyi found the net just 3 minutes into the match and gave his side a 1-0 advantage in the first period. He secured his brace early in the second period, and Lystopad extended the lead to 3-0.

Norway finally responded with goals from Risanger and Paulos, reducing the deficit to 3-2 by the end of the period, but still trailing behind the Ukrainians by a goal.

In the third and final period, Ukraine unleashed their fury, scoring three crucial goals through Pashko, Levchenko, and Borsuk. This decisive surge sealed a convincing 6-2 victory to finally secure their first win after two matches. The intense encounter saw four yellow cards distributed evenly between both teams.
