Three Portuguese teams captured glory on the final day
The Madjer Cup 2023 came to its conclusion on the 16th July, as GD Alfarim won the U16 title, GD Sesimbra became champions in the U18 division, and SandGames Figueira lifted the trophy in the Women’s division.
U16’s
On the final day of action, two semi-finals took place in the U16’s bracket to decide the finalists. Naval 1893 came out on top in a penalty-shootout against Millenium Gliwice to book their place in the final, and GD Alfarim defeated ACD Sótão to decide Naval 1893’s opponents in the final.
GD Alfarim claimed victory in the final, winning the U16 title 6-3 against Naval 1893.
U18’s
ACD Sótão and GD Sesimbra battled it out for silverware in the U18 Madjer Cup final. GD Sesimbra came away with the glory, narrowly defeating their opponents 6-5.
Women’s division
The first of two Women’s division semi-final encounters saw SandGames Figueira emphatically defeat GD Ilha, and AD Pastéis overcame AD Nazaré in the second semi-final.
SandGames Figueira won the final by four goals to two, becoming the Madjer Cup Women’s division champions.
