Spain, Poland, France and Hungary access the semi-finals of the competition in Siófok
Four sides earned their tickets to the semi-finals after the opening day at the BSWW Talent Cup Siófok 2017, the Under 21 beach soccer competition taking place in Hungary.
Spain, Poland, France and hosts Hungary secured their place in the next round.
La Roja had to overcome Belarus’ early advantage to get hold of the game control, something they could only manage in the second period. But after Alonso’s side got ahead, things got clearer, and Spain cruised to the first win in the competition.
Similarly, Poland saw Ukraine step ahead in the score, forcing them to react before it was too late. Bistula’s performance (three goals during the second period) was absolutely key for the Poles to secure next round.
France joined the best-4 pack following a tight win over the Czech Republic. In a fiercely contested match, Les Bleus ended up bagging the victory after resisting the late Czech assault, and will now face Poland en route to the final.
Viktor Turos was in hand for Hungary today as the hosts cruised past Greece in this quarter-finals clash. Four goals by the Magyar number 16, already a regular in Hungary’s first team, cleared the way for Hungary, who will now take on Spain for a place in the final of this BSWW Talent Cup 2017.
