Leonov and 'Bukha' awarded by Russia President

Last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup MVP and Best goalkeeper, protagonists at the reception by Dmitry Medvedev

The Captain of the Russian National team, Ilya Leonov, and the squad’s goalkeeper, Andrei Bukhlitskiy were the representatives of the Russian National team in the reception held by Russia’s president, Dmitry Medvedev, in the award ceremony for the Sport’s Development and Cooperation.

Medvedev personally congratulated both players for the achievement of the last edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, held in Ravenna (Italy). Moreover, both footballers clinched individual awards in the competition, with Bukhlitskiy being named the Best Goalkeeper and Leonov elected as the Most Valuable Player.

Right after the reception, Ilya and Andrei flew back to Dubai, to help their team win the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup 2011, extending their hegemony on the Beach Soccer panorama .
