Belarus and Italy to fight for EBSL Minsk title
The consistent win by the Azzurri and Kanstantsinau’s free kick in extra time for the hosts keep both sides on top of the table
Solid Italy give Turkey no option
The Italian National side added a new win to their laudable run in this season’s Euro Beach Soccer League, following a consistent 3-0 victory over a Turkish side who, in turn, are getting themselves into a very difficult situation.
Despite a slow start, the Azzurri stayed in control all the time, and used the firs minutes of the third period to seal a new win that confirms they are one of the teams in a best shape in the whole continent.
After Pietro Paolo Palazzolo’s opener, just one minute into the game, the score would not move for a long while. Italy were not menacing the Turkish nets too much, but their own ones did not see in danger either.
With just six minutes to go, Ramacciotti and Zurlo sealed the win with two goals. Turkey, who had seen the equalizer just one goal away for most of the match, saw their chances vanish, and will have just one chance to skip the Promotion Final.
Goals: 1-0: Palazzolo, min. 10 (1); 2-0 Ramacciotti, min. 6(3); 3-0: Zurlo, min. 5 (3)
Kanstantsinau’s free kick give Belarus the points at extra time
Belarus clinched a truly hard-fought win today in their second game at the Euro Beach Soccer League Minsk, thanks to a great comeback against Poland.
After Pozniak’s opener, the Poles managed to command for most of the game. Despite Savich’s equalizer, Stalislawski’s side would widen the gap again, making the hosts trail for more than two periods.
But the Belarusian would never stop believing, backed by a noisy and passionate crowd, and would fight against the Poles’ advantage relentlessly.
Two goals in the last period would send the game to extra time, where the hosts would complete their comeback. With less than one minute to go, a long-range free kick shot by Ivan Kanstantsinau would get Belarus the win.
The victory gives Belarus two points, which have them just one point below Italy, who sit atop of the table in this Euro Beach Soccer league Minsk 2018. Tomorrow, both sides will square off for the last points at stake, with the winner becoming also the champions of this fourth stage of the continental league.
Goals: 0-1: Pozniak, min. 7 (1); 1-1: Savich, min. 10(2); 1-2: Pozniak, min. 8 (2); 1-3: Friszkemut, min. 7 (2); 2-3: Samsonov, min. 1(2); 2-4: Depta, min. 0 (2); 3-4: Savich, min. 11 (3); 4-4: Savich, min. 5 (3); 5-4: Kanstantsinau, min. 0 (et)
