Some of the world’s finest teams set to battle for the 26th edition in an iconic setting
From 9 to 11 October, the Real Plaza de Toros of El Puerto de Santa María will become the stage for three days of top-class beach soccer, as some of the world’s leading national teams gather for the Mundialito Beach Soccer Andalucía El Puerto de Santa María 2026, with both men’s and women’s competitions on the programme.
The women’s tournament will feature a stellar line-up. Hosts Spain, recently crowned Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal champions in Viareggio, will be joined by European runners-up Italy, semi-finalists Ukraine, and a star-studded Brazil side.
The men’s competition brings together some of the biggest names in the history of the sport. Current FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup champions Brazil will face hosts and recently crowned European champions Spain, seven-time Mundialito winners and two-time world champions Portugal, and current Copa América runners-up Paraguay.
With four teams in each category, the competition will follow a round-robin format, with all sides facing each other across three matchdays before the champions of the 26th Mundialito edition are crowned.
The return of the Mundialito to El Puerto de Santa María adds another major chapter to the relationship between the city and beach soccer. The Real Plaza de Toros will provide a unique backdrop for a tournament bringing together world and continental champions, historic powerhouses and some of the leading forces in the international game.
The Mundialito Beach Soccer Andalucía El Puerto de Santa María 2026 is jointly organised by the Municipality of El Puerto de Santa María, Beach Soccer Worldwide and the Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol, with the support of the Consejería de Cultura, Patrimonio Histórico y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía and the Real Federación Española de Fútbol.
The Mundialito was born in 1994, in the heart of the Brazilian-flavoured Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil have won a record 15 men’s titles, including the most recent edition in 2023, which was also held in Andalucía, while Portugal have lifted the trophy seven times and Spain twice.
The women’s Mundialito kicked off in 2022, with Spain making the most of their home advantage to claim the title in both the inaugural edition and the following tournament in 2023.
Three days, eight national teams and one historic venue: the Mundialito is back in El Puerto de Santa María.
