Spain Crowned Euro Beach Soccer League Champions

Italy and Switzerland complete the podium

Spain have been crowned champions of the Men’s Euro Beach Soccer League 2026 after defeating Italy in the final. Switzerland secured third place after edging Denmark on penalties, while Belarus finished fourth following their extra-time victory over Portugal.

7th/8th Place
Moldova win 3-2 against Germany
Moldova made a strong start, scoring twice in the opening period through Beselea and Turta to establish a 2-0 lead over Germany.

Germany struggled to find a way back into the contest during the second period as Moldova protected their advantage and carried the two-goal lead into the final period.

Olli finally sparked a German comeback midway through the third period, but Beselea quickly restored Moldova’s advantage. Olli added another, but they could not find an equaliser as Moldova secured a 3-2 win.

5th/6th Place
Belarus win 3-2 against Portugal at extra time
Belarus and Portugal played out a goalless opening period despite an intense battle, with neither side able to convert their chances.

Portugal finally broke the deadlock early in the second period through Lourenço, who gave his side a 1-0 lead. Belarus pushed for an equaliser but remained behind heading into the final period.

Portugal looked set to hold on, but Novikau struck with just two minutes remaining to force extra time. Chaikouski and Bryshtsel then put Belarus ahead, while Leo Martins pulled one back for Portugal, but Belarus held on for a 3-2 victory.

3rd/4th Place
Switzerland win 12-11 on penalties against Denmark, after an 8-8 draw
The contest got off to a slow start, with just two goals in the opening period. Switzerland goalkeeper Eliott and Denmark’s De Fries were the only players to find the net as the teams went into the second period level.

The game came to life in the second period, with five goals scored. Borer and Spacca struck for Switzerland, while Jensen, De Fries and Wegeberg responded for Denmark to leave the Swiss side trailing 4-3.

The goals continued in the third period, with Switzerland finding the net through Boere, Eliott and two goals from Knöpfli. Denmark’s De Fries completed his hat-trick to make it 8-8 and force extra time. After the shootout, Switzerland prevailed 12-11 to claim the bronze medal.

Final
Spain win 5-2 against Italy
Spain made the perfect start as Jose Oliver found the net to give his side a 1-0 lead. Italy responded late in the opening period, with Josep Jr. levelling the contest at 1-1.

Bertacca restored Spain’s lead early in the second period, but Italy fought back again as Ramy found the net to make it 2-2 heading into the final period.

Spain took control in the decisive period, with Brian, Ramy, and Jose Oliver all finding the net to complete a 5-2 victory and the title.

Individual Awards
During the awards ceremony, the competition’s top performers were recognised. Italy’s Josep Jr. was named the tournament MVP, Spain’s Pablo received the Best Goalkeeper award, while Ramy of Spain claimed the Top Goalscorer award.
