Czechia and Estonia win their first matches
The relegation playoff got underway with Czechia and Estonia both securing important victories on Day 1, setting the tone for a competitive battle to avoid relegation.

Czechia win 3-2 against Türkiye
Czechia made a fast start in the relegation battle, taking a 2–0 lead over Türkiye midway through the opening period. Radosta and Trampota were on target to give Czechia the early advantage.
Andy extended Czechia’s lead in the second period, making it 3–0 as Türkiye struggled to find their rhythm. Czechia maintained control of the game and carried a comfortable three-goal advantage into the final period.
Türkiye mounted a late comeback attempt in the third period, with Ede and Gazard finding the net to cut the deficit to one. However, Czechia held firm in the closing stages to secure a 3–2 victory.
Estonia win 5-2 against Belgium
Estonia made a quick start as Munskind found the net just a minute into the match to give his side a 1–0 lead. Belgium levelled moments later through an own goal, but Hoolma and Remmelgas restored Estonia’s advantage before another Belgium own goal just before the first break gave Estonia a 4–1 lead.
Munskind struck again late in the second period to complete his brace and extend Estonia’s advantage to 5–1. Estonia remained firmly in control as they carried a comfortable four-goal lead into the final period.
Belgium reduced the deficit through Rose in the third period, but Estonia held on comfortably to secure an emphatic 5–2 victory.
