GD Sesimbra claim Euro Winners Challenge title after penalty shootout thriller in a final match that saw both teams playing out a goaless first period that highlighted how closely matched the two finalists were.

The game ignited in the second period as Reyder gave Marseille an early lead, but Sesimbra responded with a flurry of goals; Algarvio equalised before Pinhal and Oliveira put the hosts 3-1 ahead. Sebastian pulled one back for Marseille just before the interval, keeping the French side within striking distance at 3-2.

In a dramatic third period, Pinhal extended Sesimbra’s lead to 4-2, but Marseille staged a determined comeback with a second goal from Sebastian and an equaliser from Pedro Luca to force extra time at 4-4. With neither side able to break the deadlock during the added period, the title was decided in a penalty shootout, where Sesimbra held their nerve to secure a 5-4 victory and claim the crown.

GDU Ericeirense win 7-6 against Naxos BS, after extra time
A tight opening period saw Naxos BS claim a narrow lead, as a late goal from Puccio broke the deadlock to make it 1-0 heading into the first break.
