GD Sesimbra and Marseille BT to decide the Euro Winners Challenge title

The stage is officially set for the Euro Winners Challenge final in Nazaré, where GD Sesimbra will face Marseille BT in a bid for the championship title. Both sides secured their places in the showpiece event following impressive displays in the semi-finals. GD Sesimbra, who finished as silver medallists in the 2024 edition of the tournament, will be looking to go one step further this year.

Semi Finals
GD Sesimbra win 11-1 against Naxos BS
GD Sesimbra asserted their control from the opening period, racing to a 4-0 lead through goals from Algarvio, B, Willian Rosa, and an own goal from Naxos.

Algarvio struck again early in the second period to extend the lead to 5-0. Although Batista pulled one back for Naxos, André P. restored the five-goal cushion late in the period to head into the final break with a comfortable 6-1 advantage.

Sesimbra showed no mercy in the third period, adding five more goals to seal a dominant 11-1 victory.

Marseille BT win 3-2 against GDU Eiriceirense
Ericeirense started strongly, taking a 2-0 lead in the opening period thanks to goals from Werneck and Xavier.

Marseille BT fought back in the second period, with Ousfane and Paulo Henrique both finding the net to level the scores at 2-2 going into the final period.

In a tense finale, Sebastian delivered a brilliant goal to edge Marseille BT to a narrow 3-2 victory.

Playoffs
Hamrun SC win 6-5 against BS Mouilleron SF
Almeida secured the only goal of the opening period to give Hamrun a 1-0 lead.

William doubled the advantage early in the second period, but Mouilleron hit back with three goals, a Billet brace and a strike from Gaboriau, to lead 3-2. William found the net late in the period to level the scores at 3-3 going into the final break.

William struck again a minute into the third period to restore Hamrun’s lead, but Billet scored twice to put Mouilleron 5-4 ahead. In a frantic finish, William and Edinho both found the target to seal a narrow 6-5 victory for Hamrun.

Kefallinia AO BS win 3-2 against ACD O Sótao B
The opening period remained locked as neither side could find the back of the net.

Kefallinia broke the deadlock early in the second period through Katsoulis. Rodrigo responded immediately to level at 1-1, but Faros restored the Kefallinia lead before Katsoulis found the net again to establish a 3-1 advantage heading into the final break.

Sótão B pushed hard in the third period and managed to pull one back through Dinis, but they ultimately ran out of time as Kefallinia held on for a 3-2 win.
