Group A
Belarus win 4-3 against Portugal
Portugal found the net midway through the opening period courtesy of Bê Martins, Belarus responded via Hapon’s strike in the final minute of the period to level the scores at 1–1.

Lourenço restored Portugal’s advantage early in the second period, and despite both sides creating chances, the score remained 2–1 as the game entered the decisive third period.
Lourenço extended Portugal’s lead with his second of the game, but Belarus mounted a stunning comeback. Goals from Piatroski and Novikau pulled them level before Hapon completed his brace to seal a dramatic 4–3 victory.
Italy win 5-3 on penalties against France, after a 4-4 draw
France made the promising start, with Gosse and Bru both on target to give them the advantage, while Josep pulled one back for Italy. The French side held a narrow 2–1 lead at the end of the opening period.

Early in the second, Sciacca levelled, but Laasami restored France’s advantage before the break to keep them ahead 3–2.
Sciacca struck again midway through the third period to make it 3–3, forcing the game into extra time, where both sides added one more to finish level at 4–4. With nothing separating the two in extra time, the match went to penalties. Italy held their nerve from the spot, converting goals to seal a dramatic 5–3 shootout win.
Group B
Ukraine win 5-4 against Switzerland
Ukraine began their campaign with a hard-fought victory over Switzerland. Early goals from Ros and Pashko gave them a 2–0 lead in the opening period, putting the pressure on Switzerland from the start.

Midway through the second period, Pashko struck again to extend Ukraine’s advantage, but Hodel pulled one back for Switzerland just before the break to keep the contest alive at 3–1.
The final period produced a flurry of goals, as Borer netted twice and Spacca added another for Switzerland. However, decisive finishes from Glutskyi and Voitok ensured Ukraine held on for a thrilling 5–4 win.
Spain win 7-5 against Denmark
Spain came out on top in a 12-goal thriller against Denmark. Goals poured in right from the start, with Oliver, Brian, and Antonio scoring for Spain, while Damm and a brace from Wegeberg kept Denmark level at 3–3.

The second period followed the same pattern, with Brian grabbing his second of the match before Hansen responded for Denmark, sending the teams into the final period locked at 4–4.
Spain showed their quality in the decisive third period as Antonio, Kuman, and Ramy all found the net. Damm added another for Denmark, but it wasn’t enough as the Spanish side sealed a thrilling 7–5 victory.
Relegation Playoff
Estonia win 4-3 against Türkiye
Estonia opened their campaign with a narrow but vital victory over Türkiye. Lepik gave the Estonian side the lead late in the first period, breaking the deadlock after an evenly contested period.

In the second period, Lilleorg doubled Estonia’s advantage with three minutes left on the clock, but Türkiye responded quickly as Oğzuhan and Emrah struck to level the score at 2–2 heading into the final period.
The last period delivered late drama, including an own goal from Estonia that briefly handed Türkiye the advantage. But Raku restored parity before Lepik netted his second of the match to secure a thrilling 4–3 win for Estonia.
Latvia win 3-2 against Georgia
Latvia edged past Georgia with a slim victory to open their campaign. Skuratovic broke the deadlock late in the first period, giving his side a narrow 1–0 advantage at the first break.

Georgia turned the tide in the second period with goals from Lomidze and Shamiladze to take the lead, but Latvia responded quickly as Gusarins struck to make it 2–2 heading into the decisive period.
In the final period, Hohluk found the target to restore Latvia’s lead, and despite late pressure from Georgia, Latvia held firm to seal the slim 3–2 win.
