Remembering Chris Antonopoulos

The former U.S. National team player has sadly passed away

A dedicated figure in the beach soccer community, Antonopoulos was originally a goalkeeper of Florida Beach Soccer, before leading the team to back-to-back U.S. Open Championships, in 2011 and 2012, as head coach.

In his time as part of his national team, Antonopoulos achieved success, winning the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship which consequently saw the U.S. National Team qualify for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2006.
