The second edition of the competition will take place in Tunisia
Once again, beach soccer will be present at the African Beach Games. After being one of the featured sports in the inaugural 2019 edition held in Sal, Cape Verde, beach soccer returns to the competitive program in both men’s and women’s categories.
The African Beach Games will take place in Hammamet, Tunisia, from June 24th to 30th.
Joan Cuscó, President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, expressed: “An event in the wonderful African continent is always special. This is another demonstration of our commitment to develop this sport in Africa. We are grateful to ANOCA and really looking forward to this year’s edition of this celebration of sport that is the African Beach Games.”
In 2019, Senegal emerged victorious over Morocco in the final, and Nigeria claimed the bronze medal in the men’s competition, while in the women’s tournament, the hosts Cape Verde won the gold medal by defeating Algeria.
