AUF organize first Women’s National Beach Soccer Championship and lays the foundations for the Uruguay Women’s National Team
The Women’s Beach Soccer heartbeat is stronger every day, and more and more National Football Associations are embracing it, acknowledging the potential it has.
2019 sees the organisation of the first ever Uruguay Football Association (AUF) Women’s National Beach Soccer League, to take place together with the Men’s. Here, the first seed for the Uruguayan National Team for the the World Beach Games San Diego 2019 will be decided.
Women’s Beach Soccer had been showing signs of growth in Uruguay, and AUF took action to structure it and support the clubs and players that have been backing and empowering it over the last years.
Now, with the first step already made, Women’s beach soccer is ready for international take off in Uruguay!
