The new project which will kick off in Huntington Beach, California on Saturday 16 January 2021
The 2021 season will see the birth of a new national women’s beach soccer event in the United States, with the first ever Women’s Beach Soccer League kicking off on 16 January in Huntington Beach, California, thus confirming a new step in the development of the women’s game in US.
There will be three different matchdays over three months, aiming to give as much opportunity to as many players as possible to compete.
Games will be played on 16 January, 13 February, and 13 March (playoffs). The league will feature many faces from the USA national team, along with many up-and-coming talented players who finally have a long-awaited opportunity to play competitive beach soccer.
Organiser Brian Easler, founder of Beach Soccer LA, told BSWW, “In recent times, women’s beach soccer has been growing and I believe this is the time to provide a league to bring structure and opportunity for the players to develop even more.”
All matches will be recorded and uploaded on the Beach Soccer LA YouTube channel at the end of each match day.
