UAE League Finals ready to kick-off

Schedule defined for the Quarterfinals stage after Al Ahli claimed the first place in the Dubai qualifying round over Al Nasr

The finals of the United Arab Emirates National Beach Soccer League are already defined to take off this Friday April 13th. In the official draw, Al Ahli, Al Nasr, Hatta Club, Ajman, Al Hamriya, Ittihad Kalba, Dibba Al Hosn and Al Oroobah were distributed into the quarterfinals play-off grid, in which only the winners will make it to semifinals. With the whole round played in Al Mamzar Beach (Dubai), we will have to wait until next 23rd to know who gets the cup in this maiden edition of the UAE National League.

The competition goes as follows

Friday April 13th:
15:30 – Dibba Al-Hosn vs. Hatta
16:30 – Al Oroobah vs. Ajman

Saturday April 14th:
15:30 – Al-Hamriya vs. Al Ahli
16:30 – Ittihad Kalba vs. Al Nasr

Although being already qualified, Al Ahli finally secured the top place in the last matchday of the last qualifying round. A hard-fought win (3-1) over toughest opponents Al Nasr gave Madjer’s side the last points at stake, to make it 15 out of 15. The hits by Rashid Hassan, Stephan Meier and Madjer counteracted the opener by the round’s MVP Ali Karim to keep their position untouched.

In the fight for the third and last ticket-giving place, Hatta Club prevailed over Al Shabab, mainly thanks to a wonderful performance by UAE National hero Bakhit Saat and the amusing saves by Amer Mohammed, awarded as the round’s Best Goalkeeper.
