Opening press conference gives official kick-off to three days of thrilling competition in Terracina in the 2nd stage of the EBSL
The official press conference held this Thursday, 13th June, at the Hotel Mediterraneo gave the starting signal to this Euro Beach Soccer League 2013. The conference was sat by il Sindaco di Terracina, Nicola Procaccini, Beach Soccer Worldwide General Manager, Gabino Renales, the city councilor for big events in Terracina, Ubaldo Fusco, and the Italian National Coach, Massimiliano Esposito.
Italian anchorman, Gianfranco Coppola, delegate of the Unione Stampa Sportiva and Association of International Sports Media, together with colleague Andrea Cozzi, conducted the ceremony.
One clear message was sent in the press conference: Terracina is an absolutely devoted Beach Soccer resort. The city believes in the sport and it is through it which they want to empower the sports tourism industry, as Ubaldo Fusco explained, and Beach Soccer feels truly at home in Terracina, ?the crane of the sport in Italy?, as BSWW General Manager, Gabino Renales, defined it.
Massimo Esposito, National Azzurra Coach, explained the team?s expectations ahead this demanding challenge they are to face for the second consecutive year. ?It is a key stage for us, and I feel the team gets to it in one very sweet moment. We have been getting excellent sensations in these last training days, getting ready for what I am sure will be a very difficult contest?.
The Italian coach knows that the team will be backed for the faithful tifosi in Terracina, ?they are always on our side?, what will become a really valuable asset in the fight taking on tomorrow. Romania will put them to the test, and the support by the stands will definitely play its part in the game.
