We decided to take the European League to Ravenna because we are absolutely sure that it may become the best way to get people excited about it. Once they get to know the sport here in Ravenna, they will love it and they will look forward to see it again in beach soccer’s biggest showcase: the FIFA World Cup”.

It is an amusing venue, and the only thing I regret is having to see it dismantled after September 12th”, he joked.

The Ravenna council was represented by Guido Guerrieri, Assessore Allo sport, and Noemí Piolanti, dirigente capo area del Comune al servizio sport. Guerreri congratulated the opportunity of “hosting these two important events gives our city the opportunity of boosting the offer mosaic of Ravenna for these months, and we are handling it with great enthusiasm and personality”. In similar words, Mrs. Piolante highlighted that “through beach soccer, Ravenna has a great door to spread its name and its image all over the world”.

“This is our springboard” says Esposito

The Italian National coach, Massimiliano Esposito, dealt with the competition side, as expectedly for his role, and pointed that one victory may almost secure their berth in the Super Final in Moscow. We hope Ravenna is our springboard to the highest goals in this important stage. We have two great objectives The European Season title and the World Cup, and we need to trust in our possibilities. A good performance here would give us the perfect push to get into the correct mood, and would give the fans the sparkle to build their hopes, as well
