Spain and Poland get ahead in Siofok

Defending champions Hungary to fight for their first points at the Talent Cup today

Spain and Poland took the first points at stake at the Talent Beach soccer Cup Siofok 2018, following two consistent wins over France and hosts Hungary.

La Roja gave Les Bleus no chance in their debut in the competition. The Spaniards controlled the game throughout, and despite Santos Dias pulling one back for the French, it was way too little to late to change the course of the match.

Later on, a notable performance by Donat Deak, with a hat-trick, was not enough for hosts and defending champions Hungary, who saw Poland take the win after a key 3-0 run in the opening period.

Despite the Magyar reacting in the second period, Poland were feeling strong, and knew how to manage their advantage to get to the final whistle, two goals ahead.

The second matchday will have Hungary taking on Spain in search of their first points in this Talent Beach Soccer Cup taking place by the Balaton Lake. Before that game, Poland will seek to reinforce their position at the top of the table against France.
