Senegal host Morocco for three friendlies

The hosts of the upcoming African qualifier claimed each tie against the North Africans

As the qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Moscow 2021 approach, teams across the globe are preparing to vie for a spot at the world championships.

Senegal have dominated beach soccer in Africa in recent years, and the country will be hosting the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations this May, which will serve as qualification for the top two teams to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Ahead of the event, they hosted another of the big names in African beach soccer, Morocco, who travelled to play three friendly matches.

The games were held at the Ibrahima Ndiaye Chita Stadium, and Senegal won the opening match by six goals to three.

In the second tie, an equal gap separated the teams in a slightly lower-scoring game, which finished at 4-1. The final match finished in another victory for Senegal, who won 4-2.

These friendlies are essential practice ahead of the scramble for World Cup places, especially in a year where beach soccer activity has been reduce by the COVID-19 pandemic.
