Russian league kicks off in Moscow

Lokomotiv and Kristall remain unbeaten after two games in the Russian Beach Soccer Championship

In a vigorous warm up for the Euro Winner Cup (31st May – 6th June), Russia’s best beach soccer side are doing battle on the sands of Moscow.

The defending champions, BSC Kristall, have started the competition with a bang, scoring 16 goals in two matches to see off Elmond on day one and then Krylia Sovetov on day two.

However, keeping pace with them are hosts Lokomotiv, who narrowly took three points against Delta in their first match and put ten past city rivals, CSKA Moscow, to join Kristall on six points.

With players such as Nikonorov, Rafinha and 2018 Player of the Year, Llorenç Gomez in the ranks, the current holders may have a job on their hands to keep hold of the trophy…
