Russia hit first in Moscow Women’s Challenge

The defending European Champions land first win over Belarus

Russia and Belarus kick-started the Moscow Women’s Challenge with a vibrant beach soccer game. The hosts and defending European champions took the first win in the competition, with a consistent 4-1 victory that has Leonov’s girls   closer to land the Cup tomorrow. 

The two goalkeepers of the Russian team, Akylbaeva and Silina scored first for the hosts, and Domatova made it 3-0 before the end of the second leg. 

Haurylenia pulled one back for the Belarusian side, but Kanaeva restored the three goal advantage, an advantage that Russia will try to defend tomorrow (1pm) to seize this first Moscow Women’s Challenge.
