The 15 teams taking part in the AFC Beach Soccer Championship Thailand 2019, which will act as the decider for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay, have found out who they will face in the group stages.

Hosts, Thailand, were joined in Group A by Afghanistan, Malaysia and Palestine, whilst in Group B, it will be the 2017 runners-up UAE, Lebanon, China PR and Kyrgyz Republic who will battle it out for a precious ticket to Paraguay.

The last edition’s third place finishers, Japan, will face Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait in Group C and the three teams drawn in Group D are current AFC Beach Soccer Championship title holders, IR Iran, along with Oman and Iraq, who have just announced the appointment of the highly experienced Iranian, Karim Moghaddam, as their new coach.

The 2019 edition of the AFC Beach Soccer Championship will take place in Pattaya, Thailand, between March 9-17.
