Penalty shootout gives Egypt leadership back

The 9 meter spot is proving a bad companion for hosts Oman in this Beach Soccer Worldwide Tour event taking place in the Al Musannah Sports City, next to Muscat. After their penalty-shootout defeat yesterday against Morocco, it’s been today the turn of Egypt for snatching the two points at stake from the line to stay topping the table with their five points out of six.

On the other game of the day, Nigeria got even o they defeat yesterday getting rid of the Moroccan National team. The Green Eagles flew over the Al Musannah sands giving the North-African no chance back at all. Now, the Nigerian get on the pursuit for Egypt, and will try to clinch the first place tomorrow. For that to happen, though, they need a Moroccan victory over the pharaohs come together with them beating hosts Oman. Not such an easy thing…
