With an increased stadium capacity, this event in Nazaré looks like it will prove even more popular than the last. Everyone here is ready and waiting for tomorrow’s action to commence.
The women kick off an intense weekend of beach soccer combat, when the first game of the Women’s Euro Beach Soccer Cup kicks off tomorrow at 11:30 local time, as Switzerland take on Russia. After that, Perry Northeast’s English ladies will see if they can start a title-defending campaign with an opening win against the Czechs.
Tomorrow will also see the Czech Republic men’s team get the ball rolling for this year’s second instalment of the Euro Beach Soccer League, when they take on Norway at 14:00.
Later on, Portugal will be looking to build on their impressive form in 2018’s first EBSL event in Baku, with a win in their opening game against Turkey. Goalkeeper, Elinton Andrade, has already come out with some words of confidence ahead of their weekends fixtures.
But can the other teams in Division A upset Mario Narciso’s side on their own sand?
