Madjer is living some very special weeks, with the celebration of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 that just took place in his homeland, Portugal. The emblematic number seven led his teammates to a historic moment for the Portuguese beach soccer, winning their first ever FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
As recognition to such achievement, the Portuguese Captain will be one of the assistants of the Preliminary Draw for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, taking place today in Saint Petersburg. Madjer will be accompanied by some remarkable amount of talent in the celebration, with players such as Ballon D’Or winners Fabio Cannavaro or Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, Samuel Eto’o, one of the best players in the history of Africa, Golden Shoe winner Deigo Forlán, Euro 1996 winner Olivier Bierhoff or big stars of the Russian League such as Alexander Kerzakhov, or Hulk, amongst others.
Another former football star, such as Alexey Smertin, will for sure find some time to talk about beach soccer with the Portuguese Captain, as he took part in the Mundialito de Clubes with Lokomotiv Moscow two years ago.
