The defending champions, Vasco da Gama, are on their way to a title-defending campaign in the CONMEBOL Libertadores Futbol Playa, following a second win on day two.

They are joined by La 25 Export (Colombia) as well as Brazilian counterparts, Vitória, as well as Sampaio Corrêa, who netted no less than 14 in their second group match.

Day two kicked off in Group C, when Bella Vista fell to their Argentine rivals, being beaten by four goals to one. After that, Vitória had to fight hard to shake off Monagas Dífalo (Venezuela), edging the match by 3-4, and claiming the first place in the next round.

Going into the Group B fixtures, Bruno Xavier scored four as Sampaio Corrêa administered a 14-goal thumping of Chilean side, Code Iquique, who managed two consolation goals. With this victory, the Copa do Brasil champions also secured their passage to the quarter-finals.

The group’s second game saw a much closer matchup between Hamacas (Bolivia) and Acad. Tito Drago (Peru), as the game ended, 3-4, leaving the group open and a lot to play for on the final day.
