Hungary: top beach soccer host announces two summer events
2018 will see Hungary host another Talent Beach Soccer Cup as well as the Balaton Beach Soccer Cup for the first year
Over the last five years, Hungary has been enjoying a steadily increasing status as a top destination and host for beach soccer events. June will see the third edition of the Talent Beach Soccer Cup, in which four national (U21) teams, including the host nation, will come together to clash on the sand.
This event will take place in the Hungarian city of Siófok, which sits on the banks of Lake Balaton, from the 15th until the 17th of June.
The second event, the Balaton Beach Soccer Cup, is a brand new competition and lands in the same location a couple of months later, on the 17th of August until the 19th. Again, this competition will be played between four, as of yet unconfirmed, national teams.
The competing countries in both contests will be announced soon, so keep an eye on the Beach Soccer Worldwide website and social media channels.
It is great to see beach soccer flourishing and growing in popularity in Hungary, as well as numerous other countries across the world – the future of the sport looks bright indeed!
