France is back!

‘Les Bleus’ avenge defeat against Turkey in last Promotion Final to become again a Division A team

France paid Turkey back in kind today. The French revenge lasted just one year to come to send the Turkish to the Division they were condemned to after last year’s Promotional Final. It was Les Bleus moment, it was what they had been waiting for during the whole season, and they claimed what they were owed after last summer’s painful ending to go back to the top-flight division for next year.

Turkey proved they were to be a hard nut to crack in the beginning of the match, when Seyit swept the Ottomans ahead. But the French key player today, Didier Samoun, began his flashing performance shortly afterwards, and with two goals turned the score around to dry out the Turkish advantage. Baris balanced things back, and so did Tamer after a new hit by France’s number 5 for the 2—3.

The match was as hard-fought as expected, and it seemed impossible to forecast who was to go in Division B and who was to get in Division A next season. But the French would not let their opponents surprise them again, and Pagis pushed them ahead with the 3-4 to begin the French winning run, completed by Mendy and Soamoun, that would take France back to where they belong: the elite.

Goals: 1-0 Seyit, min. 8 (1); 1-1: Samoun, min. 6 (1); 1-2: Samoun, min. 4 (2); Baris, min. 4 (2); 2-3: Samoun, min. 11 (3); 3-3: Tamer, min. 9 (3); 3-4: Pagis, min. 8 (3) ; 3-5 : Mendy, min. 3 (3); 3-6 : Samoun, min. 1 (3)

Israel gets the 3rd place despite last breath fright

The Penalty shootout finally banned the way to the third place of the Promotional final for Belarus, after the Belarusian, backed in Moscow as if they playing at home, managed an amazing equalizer in the last minute of the game, when Israel was almost celebrating their win.

After getting ahead in the first period with a good goal by Yatim, Israel was not put into serious danger by Belarus for most of the game. The Israeli, much more experienced, controlled the danger they were suffering and tried, not too enthusiastically, though, to widen their advantage. Not being successful on it, the Belarusians found the room enough to start growing, little by little, and looking to their opponent’s end more determinedly. And they found the prize for that when Bryshtsel received a ball and turned it into the 1-1 with just some seconds to go.

After a goalless extra time, the penalty shootout was to pass sentence between Belarusians and Israelis, with the latter to prove a better aim from the 9 meters line. Iloz made the difference after thundering he attempt in straight after Mendes saved Miranovich’s, securing the win for Israel.

Goals: 0-1: Yatim, min. (1); 1-1: Bryshtsel, min. 0 (3)

Penalty kick shootout: Bokach, in; Yatim, in; Miranovich, Mendes saves; Iloz, in.

Penalty kick last win for Czech Republic

Czech Republic shut their European Season winning the penalty kick shoot-out against Netherlands in the Promotion Final 5th place play-off. The Czechs had in number eight Peterik their most valuable weapon, as a hat trick by the reds number 8 managed to get them always tuned when the Dutch made things difficult.

In turn, Ax played the heroe and the villain roles for the Orange today. His two goals during the regular time let them step ahead in the score with the 0-1 and the 1-2, but, when the time for the penalty shooutout came, luck turned its back on him. With Chalupa having sent the ball to the net in the first of the series, Ax saw his ball go wide, what closed the doors for his tem to the 5th place.

Goals : 0-1 : Ax, min. 5 (1) ; 1-1 : Peterik, min. 1 (1); 1-2: Ax, min. 6 (2); 2-2: Peterik, min. 8 (2); 3-2: Peterik, min. 4 (3); 3-3: Van Geldermalsen, min. 4 (3)
