European League season ready for kick-off
The Euro Beach Soccer League is set to begin in Moscow on Friday as the official press conference took place Thursday afternoon
2015 has begun with successes all over the world and the biggest continental international tournament, the Euro Beach Soccer League, starts the first of four legs in Moscow on Friday. The first leg has eight Division A teams, separated into two groups, and the top two sides after the three day event in Russia will qualify for the fourth the final stage, the Superfinal in Estonia. The second stop on the league tour will be in Siofok, and will include Division B teams as well. The winning Division B teams will take place in the Promotion Final, also set for Estonia, along with the Superfinal. The Russian staged edition held the official press conference on Thursday, featuring players and delegates participating in this kick-off event.
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 will be held in Portugal from the 9th-19th of July and will include three teams out of 16 from this EBSL event; Russia, Italy, and Portugal. In addition to the World Cup, these three teams, along with five others, will be playing in the first ever European Games Baku 2015. The Games are part of the official Olympic family and beach soccer is one of the featured events in Azerbaijan. Madjer, a key cog in the Portuguese team and a national legend, attended the press conference, boldly saying, “Moscow is obviously one of the best beach soccer venues, as you can see, and we are currently focusing on this European event, but believe me, we are ready for Baku and Portugal.”
There is no lack of excitement for this stage and the Deputy Vice-President of BWWW, Gabino Renales pointed out, “This is a very unique season will the number of quality events beings played, so while the format for the EBSL may have changed to accommodate the World Cup and the European Games as well as the Mediterranean games at the end of the year, it means higher quality play in each event and the added pressure to win has Moscow buzzing with excitement.” The full schedule for everyone is welcomed and the commencement of the Euro Beach Soccer League 2015 begins tomorrow at 15:45.
