El Salvador reedit Copa Centroamericana glory!

The Cuscatleco bend CONCACAF kings Panama in the decider of the competition

El Salvador National Team claimed their third Copa Centroamericana de Futbol Playa, following a convincing win over defending CONCACAF champions, Panama in the decider held yesterday.

Ruben Batrés, tournament’s top scorer, was in hand for the Cuscatlecos again, with two goals that spurred the Salvadoran evening. Elmer Robles, Herber Ramos, Exon Perdomo and Melvin Segovia added their contribution for the final 6-2.

Panama found themselves unable to counteract the Azul inspiration, and despite the efforts by Luis Valencia and Pascual Gálvez, Schubert’s side were never capable to threat the hosts dominion.

With this win, the Salvadoran side claim a new copa Copa Centroamericana, reediting their triumph in the other two editions, held in 2016 and 2014.

Costa Rica clinch third

In the other game of the day, Costa Rica had to fight to overcome a surprising Belize, that managed to get 5-3 ahead in the third period.

With five minutes to go, a 3-0 run by the Ticos turned things around to command 5-7. Belize pulled one back, but the points stayed in Costa Ricand hands.
