The Clubs Competition is taking strong roots in Brazil, precisely the birth country of Beach Soccer. The firm steps taken in this new universe for the sport, begun with the first edition of the Mundialito de Clubes held last March 2011 in Sao Paulo, have been granted continuity in this 2012, with a brand new competition to hit the calendar and join the second edition of the Global Clubs competition and the recently concluded Copa Brasil: The Campeonato Brasileiro 2012 will feature, for the first time, 12 top-notch Beach Soccer teams from some of the most important Football Clubs in the country.

Corinthians, Sao Paulo FC, Flamengo, Mundialito champions Vasco da Gama, Palmeiras, Botafogo, Santos, Sport Recife, Cruzeiro, Portuguesa, AS Arapiraquense and Atlético Paranaense will bring the finest of the Brazilian ball tradition onto the sand in the Represa de Guarapiranga. The paulista venue will see the twelve teams clash in an intense three-group round robin stage plus the knock-out to the final.

Competitiveness is, needless to say, beyond any doubt. All the teams bank on excellent and experienced players to try to go all the way to the final. With such a magic-brimming squads as the ones taking part, excitement and brilliantness is more than guaranteed. Vasco’s Bruno Xavier or Jorginho, Botafogo’s Pampero or Betinho, Corinthians’ André or Mao, Flamengo’s Benjamin or Juninho, Santos’ Bruno Malias, Buru or Alan, among many many others, will take special care in this to happen…
