BSWW to strengthen collaboration with Madjer Cup

The international youth beach soccer competition will be fully backed by BSWW structure and procedures

Beach Soccer Worldwide will level up their involvement in the Madjer Youth Beach Soccer Cup (19-21 June, Figueira de Foz), as of this season, following conversations between BSWW Management and Madjer in recent weeks.

Beach Soccer Worldwide’s intention is to reinforce the Madjer Cup structure, with documentation, procedures and expertise so as to help the competition acquire a greater international dimension.

Beach Soccer Worldwide professionals will be playing an active part in the organization of the event, as well as providing the official channels of communication with the football governing bodies to give the competition an even more official factor.

After the conversations, and looking ahead to this new operational structure, BSWW President Joan Cusco explained the strategic importance the Madjer Cup can gain within the BSWW events calendar: “We have always followed and collaborated with the Madjer Cup, because it stands as a truly valuable initiative, that is another important pillar of the beach soccer development: the youth competitions. And after some initial years of collaboration, we thought the time had come to make a bigger involvement in the event so as to help it grow further and expose it to the world on a larger scale.”

The Madjer Youth Beach Soccer Cup will celebrate its third edition this summer, following two successful years that have seen teams from seven different countries take part in the competition, which is divided into two different divisions (U18 and U16) and which will also feature this year women’s competition.
