The amateur Qatar Beach Soccer Nations Cup proves the huge interest the AFC Qualifier is arousing in the city and the country
The Qatari society is really looking forward to the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? Asian Qualifier Qatar. Just some weeks ahead the kick-off of the top-flight Pan Asian encounter at Katara Beach Stadium, an amateur tournament took place at the country?s capital, with more than 200 players, proving the huge interest the upcoming AFC Qualifier is arousing in the country.
The Qatar Beach Soccer Nations Cup, involving up to 16 teams composed of amateur players and representing different countries and continents, had the action rocking as an exciting preview. Teams from Pakistan, Indonesia, Malasya, Europe, Egypt or Portugal, amongst many other origins, set up a colourful sportive party.
The games this last weekend were held at Al Gharafa, but the tournament is scheduled to continue next weekend at the vey Katara Stadium, thus giving the participants the price of playing in an international stadium.
